Tionna Taite

I’m Tionna Taite, a law student from Alabama. When I was a freshman in college, I founded the first Black student-led magazine at the University of Alabama entitled Nineteen Fifty-Six. During my time as the founding Editor-in-Chief, the magazine reached over 46,884 readers and secured $30,000+ in donations to spotlight Black culture and student experiences for years to come. As Miss Black Alabama USA 2022, I advocated for diverse media by amplifying critical issues through speeches and presentations. As the creator of Legally Blessed, I am excited to use my legal skills, journalistic prowess, and leadership experience to continue to empower marginalized communities.
